SMOKE: Alaska, Canada, Northern United States and the Northern Atlantic Ocean... Wildfire activity continues to be analyzed from northeastern British Columbia to western Ontario, with an increase in wildfire activity across Alaska and the Yukon as well. Smoke from these two areas of wildfire activity extend from Alaska and, perhaps, eastern Siberia to parts of the northern Atlantic. The highest density smoke within this area appears to be concentrated in two areas. The first was over portions of central Canada extending from northern Ontario west through central Manitoba and central Saskatchewan. The second area was over portions of the western and northern Yukon extending west through much Alaska. Southwestern United States and the Rocky Mountain States... An area of light to moderate density smoke was seen over much of the Southwestern United States and Rocky Mountain States where it joined with the smoke from the Alaskan and Canadian wildfires over the Northern Plains of the United States. The highest density smoke within this area was located from portions of New Mexico and Arizona extending northeast into western South Dakota and southern Montana. DUST: Eastern Caribbean…. An area of Saharan Dust was seen over portions of the eastern Caribbean Islands and the eastern Caribbean Sea.
